David Graham got his first acting job in a summer stock production of “The Male Animal.” Graham became assistant stage manager for the premiere Broadway engagement of modern dance legend Martha Graham (no relation) and impressed her to such an extent that she asked him to join her company as manager of her studio. For the subsequent years, Graham held several jobs within the industry gaining valuable experience such as working for a talent agency, editor of weekly publications, and producer of small-budget theatre productions. Connections from all of these assignments led him to his lifelong gift, casting.
After serving as casting director for multiple Broadway musicals, Graham became an agent with Lyons & Lyons, Inc. Graham then moved to California to join the William Shiffrin Agency, where he remained for six years before eventually moving in to casting wholeheartedly.
Graham served as a Governor of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, as well as a member of the Association of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles.
