Don Roberts was an extremely talented designer with a keen eye in keeping budget costs down for any particular production. Beginning at The Pasadena Playhouse, Don began designing main stage production as an assistant art director early in his career. This gig led to other such important roles for Don at CBS TV Hollywood as well as landing his first full credit Art Director nod on Norman Lear’s All in the Family.
Don’s relationship to the show All in the Family connected him with writers Mickey Ross, Bernard West, and Don Nicholl which led him to his tenured run as Three’s Company’s Art Director.
